The pair impressed in the early stages of this year’s edition of the Sertoes rally after finishing first in two races before developing mechanical problems.
Michael Terpins was born 40 years ago in Sao Paolo, Brazil. His family like most families in Brazil loved sports. His father Jack Terpins was a retired basketball player and was always supportive of his sons when it came to sports. His brother Rodrigo Terpins was also a rally driver and participated in the Sertoes rally five times before. Michael made his debut at the Sertoes rally in 2002 in the motorcycle category. He then navigated for his brother for a few years after which he decided to become a pilot.
The passion for rallying that is shared between the brothers led to the creation of the Bulls Sertoes Rally Team. The team has participated in a few championships like the Mitsubishi Cup, the Brazilian Championship of Cross Country Rally and the Sertoes Rally on board the powerful T-Rex which was developed by MEM Motorsport. The car has a powerful v8 engine which boosts the confidence of Michael Terpins.
The 25th edition of the Sertoes rally kicked off in August and was held in 3 states over a distance of over 3300 kilometers. The event is the most awaited of the Brazilian rallying events as it is the most enjoyable and exciting. It is also the most challenging and requires strong cars and a strong team which is ready to face any challenge. Michael Terpins may not have won this year’s edition of the Sertoes Rally, but his team proved they were quick and could pull a decent performance despite the many technical difficulties they faced.
